   Families are by and large supportive. Cases range from easy to complex, depending on the desires and capabilities of the nurses. Per diem is available and a adept option for many.

   This is related primarily to the Emeryville, CA part. I've heard that it's better in other locations. In Emeryville, Management does not back up the nurses. If anything goes wrong (your mistake or non), their first activity is to throw you nether the bus--tell the family y'all'll exist "fired" and and so threaten your license. It's classic nurse bullying. I know of three nurses who take left because of this threatening behavior. About of the clinical supervisors and managers have just ever been in home health, so they have a very limited perspective in doing what's absolutely best for the patient. Nurses who have many years experience in other settings and who take kept up with the almost recent best practices would be appalled at some of the practices instituted years agone and never updated. I'm leaving and would non recommend Maxim in Emeryville to anyone I cared about.
